There are two things I want to share this week:
- God Is No Man
You would think that because of the way and manner in which Jacob loved the children of Rachel, God will also do the same. You’ll think that God will shower all His blessings on Joseph and Benjamin and scorn the 10 sons of Leah … Absolutely not! Jesus – the beloved of God, God himself – came through the lineage of Judah, the son of Leah, the scorned wife of Jacob.
God is not man. He doesn’t operate like men. He is the definition of fair. He is a fair God. Even in the story of Esau and Jacob, Caine and Abel, despite the bad behaviours displayed by Cain, Esau and Jacob … God still blessed them and enlarged them.
What does this mean to you?
God can be trusted. He’s dependable. Men can and will fail, but God cannot. He is faithful to His word and faithful to everyone who believes and calls on Him.

The other day, during sermon in church, this photographer was taking pictures and came to the part where the choristers sat. He took some pictures of the people around that area, but specifically went to smile at this female choristers sitting close to the aisle. The lady was shocked that he will walk over to smile at her while sermon was ongoing, yet she smiled back at him and then he left. The lady was his wife.
The exchange caught my attention because I thought it was cheesy and sweet. Sweet that both were in church and serving. Cheesy, that the guy would see in his wife in a public and serious atmosphere and not think twice to be silly with his wife.
It really got me thinking that marriage is truly amazing when both parties are on the same page – share the same values, likes, and common interests. It is also more beautiful when both parties are friends and understand each other. Being in Christ and given to Christ, is like icing on cake – delicious.
How does this concern you?
A beautiful marriage is worth the work. Fam, don’t compromise. Invest in yourself – physically, mentally and spiritually- and wait for someone worthy of you.
Don’t compromise in getting a christian brother or sister as partner. A godly marriage is worth your while. It saves you from unnecessary pain.
Don’t compromise on your christian convictions. Don’t compromise on your values. Life with Christ is always win. A relationship/marriage built on Christ and working on Christ will always win.
So be patient. Let God give you His own gift special crafted for you.
